For the 2011 season series, the Formula one regulation for race cars racing the circuits has changed as per the FIA board guidelines. F1 racers have different rules to follow this time around; some of the new rules for the F1 2011 season are as follows:Car liveries:
For the race cars racing in all the Grand Prix circuits, vehicles together with their drivers must use the same set of colors throughout the race. The team color should be constant in order to distinguish the various teams racing as per the FIA board regulations.
To increase on driver and vehicle distinction, every car must have a unique number printed on the body going along with the driver’s name. Only two race cars racing in the Grand Prix are allowed for all teams. Both cars carry different colored onboard cameras to define them from each other.
No F-ducts this time around:
The F-ducts are otherwise known as double diffusers. They are used in regulating the aerodynamics of the vehicle during a race to increase its controllability. But this time around, all race cars racing in the Grand Prix will have to do without. But F1 race cars are now allowed to adjust the rear wings as well during racing.
Hi-tech race cars racing the circuits are now allowed to change their rear wing angle from the cockpit. But front wings have been banned this time round since they have been replaced by the rear adjustments.
Driver switches:
All race cars racing in the Grand Prix are assigned four drivers each. Driver changes are only allowed before the qualifying periods of the race. But here’s the catch; the new drivers in the circuit have to work with the same wheel used by the previous driver.
