When you take a glimpse at car races a decade ago and compare it to what technological evolution has done to them, you will be amazed at the significant contribution of technology to the world of car racing. Five years down the tunnel and the IT field was defined but not that eye-turning. There were a few working spaces for the IT at the tracks with a few staff having laptops to connect back to the factory, not to mention an analogue telephone line that was used to call people and to get reliable e-mail connection. The narration goes on unmentioned that a teenager named Bill France Sr. paid attention to his father’s Model-T Ford which he would steal to experience the power at high speeds. He would better skip school to see the amazement of the super car. And one day, he finds himself in Daytona Beach, Florida for automobile trials where he participated in the races until 1941, till the war halted the races. In 1947 the first meeting was held for stock cars automobile racing in Daytona, and France availed a pool of drivers, mechanics, and promoters to officiate the beginning of stock cars racing. (more…)

Rally sports cars are to men, just like jewels are to women. It’s a common arena to find 8 out of 10 men being in dare need of driving a sports car at least for once in a lifetime. The history lane takes us back to 1800’s when rally were yet to be born. The first race was in held in Paris, France. It was sponsored by the French media including the Le Petit journal. Unlike today where winners are those that have the best time, during this year winners were measured based on the discretion of the map guide besides the drivers. (more…)

The gaming world has evolved a great deal since the time it was invented. There was a time when we only knew of Pac man, Super Mario, Sonic the hedgehog or mega man. However, today the gaming world is something quite different. We have technology to thank; the graphics have improved so are the ways in which we play the games. In the past there were only buttons to press but today we can be our own avatars in a video game thanks to the 3D technology. (more…)

There is something about motor racing than never fails to thrill us; perhaps it’s the torque in the wheels or the driver’s unique skill behind the wheels. Or when a car raves up, makes drift turns in corners or when a motor bike flies in there in a super duper stunt.
